Government panel recommends monetisation of PSU assets worth over Rs 1,100 crore; what happens next?

An Inter-Ministerial Group has recommended asset monetisation proposals involving surplus land and buildings of Central Public Sector Enterprises valued at over Rs 1,100 crore. The proposals will now be placed before the Cabinet-delegated Alternative Mechanism for consideration and approval, according to the Ministry of Finance.
