Raamdeo Agrawal Reacts To Removal Of LTCG Tax For Foreign Investors In India

Raamdeo Agrawal, Chairman & Co-Founder of Motilal Oswal Financial Services, shares his views on the demand for removing or rationalising Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG) tax for foreign investors in India. Agrawal believes that rationalising capital gains tax could make India more competitive in attracting global capital, particularly against markets such as Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan and China. He says the proposal is moving in the right direction, but the final decision rests with the Finance Ministry.
