Michigan’s Senate Race Has Devolved into Islamophobic Attacks on El-Sayed

If Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed wins in Michigan next month, he will become the first Muslim to serve in the upper chamber. But as has happened with other firsts, El-Sayed will have to defeat a shameless and frankly dangerous attempt to otherize him based on his identity.
