Aaron Sorkin Got The Social Reckoning Half Right

As fate would have it, the sequel to The Social Network is almost as beleaguered as Facebook itself. The Social Reckoning, which dramatizes the 2021 leak that led to The Wall Street Journal’s 17-part investigative series into the platform, had a lukewarm critical reception and tepid opening weekend at the box office, grossing just $5.5 million domestically. The response is a far cry from The Social Network, the 2010 drama that won three Oscars and ended up grossing nearly $225 million.
