ICRIER’s Ramesh Chand sees near-zero farm growth this year as El Niño threatens crop output

ICRIER Distinguished Professor and former NITI Aayog member Ramesh Chand expects India's agricultural GVA to remain close to zero this year as El Niño could reduce crop output by around 4%, similar to 2015. He warned that coarse grains, pulses and oilseeds face the highest risk.
