China sanctions ‘pawn’ Paraguay, Belize ministers over Taiwan ties

China on Monday placed sanctions on Paraguay's communications minister and the foreign minister of Belize over their countries' ties with Taiwan, saying they were "pawns" who have smeared and attacked Beijing.
