Struck by gang violence and political chaos, Haiti postpones elections
Election officials in the Caribbean country said Tuesday that presidential and legislative elections planned for December and February would be postponed indefinitely, but that voter registration would continue. Gripped by gang violence, the country has been without a leader since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in 2021.
