Democrats' Independent Senate Strategy in Red States Is Desperate
The Democratic Party has turned to so-called independent candidates in ruby-red states to overcome a weak brand and pick the Republican lock on US Senate seats. It never works and won’t this November, in part because voters, however intrigued, eventually realize there’s no such thing as an independent senator.
