Keralam govt to provide free Troponin T testing for BPL families from October 1

Keralam will offer free Troponin T testing to families classified as below the poverty line (BPL) at government health institutions from October 1. The facility will cover centres ranging from primary health centres to district and general hospitals. Health Minister K Muraleedharan said the move aims to prevent testing costs from delaying diagnosis and treatment of suspected heart attacks.
