India’s aviation demand outpacing capacity; passenger traffic to grow six-fold by 2047: Naidu

India currently has more than 166 operational airports, up from 74 in 2014. The government is targeting 400 airports by 2047, while 66 airports are currently under development and another 100 are in the pipeline over the next 10 years.
