UN experts urge US to halt deportations of migrants to third countries

UN human rights experts have urged the Trump administration to halt deportations that send migrants to countries other than their own, warning that the policy could expose vulnerable people to abuse, torture and persecution. The experts said at least 23,000 third-country nationals have been sent to 29 nations and territories under agreements struck by Washington since last year.
