Primetime Risks Repeating To Catch a Predator’s Mistakes

In a meta twist, before moviegoers experience Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of Chris Hansen in A24’s Primetime, they will see Hansen himself. The former host of the investigative series To Catch a Predator, in which Hansen confronted men seeking sex with minors, bought ads before screenings of the film. He tells the audience to “take a seat right over there” — a nod to one of his signature catchphrases — while promoting his streaming service, TruBlu, which features similar sting operations.
