Infineon plans to further expand its India workforce, sees country as a ‘huge talent pool’: CMO

Infineon Technologies is looking to deepen its India presence beyond selling semiconductors, with the country increasingly becoming a base for talent and global product development. The German chipmaker has expanded its India workforce to around 2,800 after adding 750 employees in the last 18 months. Its recent acquisition of Bengaluru-based C2I Semiconductors comes as demand for power-efficient solutions rises with the growth of AI data centers. Infineon also has around 1,200 customers across automotive, automation, renewable energy and other sectors.
