CBI books BHEL officials over 31.65 kg silver embezzlement at Gurugram plant

The case stemmed from a physical verification carried out at the plant on February 6, 2024. Records showed that nearly 35.6 kg of silver targets and recyclable silver, funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, had been present at the facility until 2016-17 and continued to appear in audit observations as late as 2020.
