To avoid costly annual repainting, the installation must follow a strict technical sequence that accounts for how timber interacts with moisture and temperature. Wood Preparation: The "Anchor" EffectThe Scandinavian approach begins with boards featuring a "raised grain"—a texture created through specific mechanical processing. This surface is superior to smooth-planed wood because of its absorption capacity. A porous structure allows protective coatings to penetrate deep into the fibers. This creates a mechanical bond that prevents the paint from peeling when exposed to UV radiation and rain.
