Semicon India 2026: PM Modi Pushes Semiconductor Skilling For Youth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s vast engineering talent pool at Semicon India 2026, saying the country has thousands of engineering colleges and produces millions of engineers every year. He said the government is targeting the training of 1 lakh engineering students for the semiconductor industry, with more than 70,000 already trained. PM Modi also urged young researchers in India and abroad to contribute to advanced technology development and called on industry leaders to lead R&D efforts in India.
