India well placed to be global growth engine, says MoSPI Secretary Saurabh Garg
Saurabh Garg said strong trade and investment activity underline India’s position as a potential engine for global growth. Imports and exports rose around 30% and 29%, respectively, in the April-June quarter, while capital equipment imports jumped 50.1%. Garg said India’s recent growth trajectory remained encouraging, although global uncertainty, climate change and technology-related risks continued to warrant caution.
