India, Belgium turn defence ties into government pact, eye co-production of tanks, drones, rockets
India and Belgium have elevated their defence relationship from largely private-sector cooperation to a formal government-to-government framework, opening the door to regular military exchanges, joint research and defence-industrial partnerships. The two sides are exploring co-development and co-production across areas including the Zorawar light tank, drones, sensors, optics, rockets and naval systems.
