August CPI Inflation: Retail inflation jumps to 4.82%; food inflation nears 6%

Food inflation also accelerated to 5.95% from 5.52% in July, compared with the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of 5.88%. Core CPI inflation rose to 4.2% in August from 3.9% in July, slightly above the 4.17% CNBC-TV18 poll estimate.
