A wedding like no other: Two trees get married with 200+ ceremonial plates

As part of the ceremony, villagers printed invitations and gathered at the nearby Koppiyamman Temple ground. More than 200 ceremonial plates containing coconuts, betel leaves, areca nuts, bananas and other fruits, along with silk dhotis and sarees, were carried in a grand procession with traditional music and folk celebrations.
