US Shortages of High-End Munitions Are Crisis in the Making

Military analysts have long warned that a conflict with China could consume US stocks of key munitions within days or weeks. That timeline has shrunk even further now that the Department of Defense has burned through a shocking number of its most sophisticated missiles in the war with Iran. The US not only needs to accelerate efforts to replenish those weapons — it ought to rethink their centrality to its warfighting strategy, too.
