Special team to probe Supplyco ‘sugar scam’; 8 employees suspended so far

The team comprises senior Civil Supplies Corporation officials, including those from its Vigilance wing; seven employees were suspended on Tuesday over the alleged supply of non-subsidised sugar to a private company; Supplyco Vigilance inspection found that the sugar stock remained at the Perumbavoor depot while records showed otherwise
