Clear-cut Liberal victory for Daniel Gobeil in Chicoutimi—Le Fjord

Predictions of a tight race were quickly put to rest on election night as the Liberals established a decisive lead. By 11:20 p.m., Elections Canada was reporting that Daniel Gobeil had captured more than half of the ballots counted and was leading his closest rival, Bloc Québécois candidate Caroline Dubé, by more than 4,500 votes.
