Y'all Street and the Texas Stock Exchange Won't Mess With Wall Street
Second-tier US cities are always pitching themselves as “the next Wall Street.” During the penny stock frenzy of the 1970s and ‘80s, Denver adopted the Wall Street West moniker — until its boiler rooms got caught up in a wave of fraud. Charlotte, Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa and West Palm Beach have all, at one time or another, laid claim to the Wall Street South nickname. And now Dallas is going all in on Y’all Street (the best coinage yet, by far).
