Alberta's Smith bucks NDP call to cancel separation vote amid Canada-US trade war

Despite calls from opposition NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi to postpone the referendum in order to avoid projecting an image of national weakness amid Canada's tense trade war, Smith said holding the vote is a "separate process."
