Canada vows dollar-for-dollar tariff retaliation, suspends trade talks with US

New 50 per cent tariffs on billions of dollars in Canadian exports to the US took effect at 12:01 a.m., and PM Carney vowed Canada would retaliate with equal measures of its own.
