Ghana mineworkers demand $34.5 million in funds frozen since 2017 for 19,000 workers

Ghana’s mineworkers’ union has petitioned the Bank of Ghana to release more than 380 million cedis ($34.55 million), it says, that have remained frozen since the country’s financial-sector cleanup nearly a decade ago.
