Harvard Needs Honest Grading to Preserve Its Academic Credibility

University policies on grades, like grades themselves, run along a wide spectrum. Harvard, my alma mater and my employer, wants to combat grade inflation and so is limiting the number of A’s in undergraduate classes. Michigan, meanwhile, wants to combat grade anxiety and so is eliminating grades altogether for first-year students in their first semester.
