California Knows Business-Friendly Rules Stifle Innovation

California is leading a group of 12 states suing to block Paramount Skydance Corp.’s $110 billion purchase of Warner Bros Discovery Inc., claiming the deal would give the combined company unfair control of movie and cable-TV businesses. Paramount executives responded by threatening to pull its operations out of the Golden State and go to where it’s wanted.
