Saskatoon to keep home upgrade program running as federal support winds down

Saskatoon’s Home Energy Loan Program lets homeowners borrow money for upgrades such as insulation, windows or more efficient heating, and repay it through their property taxes. The federal portion of the program is expected to end within one to two years, but the city has committed to continue funding the program, which it started with its own money in 2021.
