An African country shuts down biscuit factory making fake versions of US snack giant Mondelēz’s ‘Oreo’ with charcoal instead of cocoa

Egyptian authorities have shut down an unlicensed biscuit factory after inspectors found it was producing copycat “Oreo” biscuits using expired ingredients and charcoal-based colouring instead of cocoa, mimicking the popular brand owned by US snack giant Mondelēz International.
