Russian Captain Killed in Sevastopol Blast; Suspect Allegedly Worked for Ukrainian Intelligence

A Russian serviceman died in an explosion in Sevastopol, according to the Federal Security Service (FSB) directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Law enforcement authorities said the suspect, a 32-year-old Russian woman, had allegedly carried out an assignment for Ukrainian intelligence services. Russian Serviceman Killed in Sevastopol Blast The FSB directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol reported that a Russian serviceman died after an explosive device detonated in Sevastopol. Authorities quickly detained a woman suspected of carrying out the attack on instructions from Ukrainian intelligence services. The 1994-born Russian citizen allegedly waited for the officer near a residential high-rise on Stoletovsky Prospekt and activated the explosive device as the serviceman walked past.
