Spain and Italy clash over a bitter dispute that also affects Africa; Spain hits back with border checks on flights from Italy

Spain has started checking people arriving on flights from Italy following disputes about migration and border rules. According to the country’s Interior Ministry, the first day of these new measures saw Spanish officials check 199 people who were traveling on 12 different flights from Italy.
