Watch: TN assembly passes resolution on ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu’

The Tamil Nadu Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution making Tamil Thai Vazhthu mandatory as the first song at programmes held in educational institutions, government offices and other public institutions. The resolution comes after the Union Home Ministry directed the State to render Vande Mataram at the beginning of State functions. It also traces the history of Tamil Thai Vazhthu and its recognition as Tamil Nadu’s State song.
