On his first day, he got a $200 billion assignment

From its founding in 1944, Hydro-Québec built the largest hydropower fleet in North America, becoming the biggest clean energy developer and a major power supplier to the US. But surging demand on the provincial grid — and falling reservoir levels — are forcing the utility to find new capacity. The answer, says Mathieu Johnson, who is leading a $200 billion investment action plan, is blowing in the wind.
