Europe turns to Algeria for air conditioners as Africa’s biggest factory secures 250,000-unit order

Algeria’s push to diversify its economy beyond hydrocarbons is gathering pace after Condor Electronics, the country’s leading appliance manufacturer, secured orders for 250,000 air conditioners from European buyers, marking one of the strongest signs yet that North African manufacturers are beginning to break into Europe’s consumer goods supply chain.
