Essar to invest $5.8 billion in Stanlow Energy Hub Transition

Essar Group plans a significant £4.3 billion expansion for its UK Stanlow refinery. This project will establish an energy transition hub focused on low-carbon hydrogen production. The company is nearing a final investment decision on projects exceeding £1 billion. Plans include reconfiguring the refinery and expanding its fuel retail network. Essar has already boosted Stanlow's processing capacity and built a hydrogen-ready furnace.
