Strong El Nino 'adding fuel to a planet already on fire', warns UN chief

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned on Friday that a strengthening El Niño is intensifying an already worsening climate crisis, saying the weather phenomenon is "adding fuel to a planet already on fire" and could drive record-breaking global temperatures.
