Monsoon tides dump 2,500 tonnes of garbage on Mumbai beaches

More than 2,500 metric tonnes of garbage washed ashore on Mumbai’s beaches after days of heavy rainfall and high tides. Juhu Beach was among the worst affected, raising fresh concerns over marine pollution, waste management and the growing amount of trash entering the Arabian Sea through the city’s drainage network.
