Mastercard profit beats estimates on strong consumer spending

Mastercard reported better-than-expected second-quarter profits on Thursday. Strong transaction volumes and resilient consumer spending supported the company's financial performance. Gross dollar volume rose eight percent, and net revenue increased fourteen percent.
