Sonam Wangchuk reveals govt’s written assurances after calling Off fast

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his 26-day hunger strike after receiving written assurances from the government. According to Wangchuk, the Centre agreed to no legal action against peaceful protesters, compensation for affected families, and a detailed discussion on accountability in the education and examination system in Parliament. However, no assurance was given on the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
