Four months behind schedule, President Cyril Ramaphosa has unveiled the National Water Action Plan. Managed by a new high-level committee modelled on the team that tackled load shedding, the strategy targets infrastructure failures, corruption and municipal revenue diversion to stabilise South Africa’s collapsing water supply.
