SAHRC food inquiry — some ministers engage, most retailers evade

Department of Basic Education minister Siviwe Gwarube and Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi made extensive submissions to the second leg of the SAHRC inquiry into food systems, along with AgriSA and CropLife. However, major retail companies such as PicknPay and Spar did not show – despite retail being central stakeholders in food affordability.
